Declaration instructions

Please read the following points carefully. Information must be true and given in English. The application runs through the official immigration portal; VietEvisa reviews your details and submits them on your behalf. Official fee 25 USD (single) or 50 USD (multiple) to the state, service fee 25 USD to VietEvisa for review, submission and delivery. Processing time according to the authority is usually 3 to 5 working days.

    Truthful information

    Applicants must provide all information sufficiently, correctly and honestly in English.

    For questions with several options, all applicable answers must be selected.

    Answer “Others”

    If you choose “Others”, you must add concrete and complete details.

    Refusal for false information

    The e-Visa application will be refused if Vietnamese immigration finds incorrect or dishonest information.

    From abroad only

    The visa is issued to foreigners who are currently abroad and wish to enter Vietnam. Not for people already staying temporarily in Vietnam.

    Exceptions without an e-Visa application

    Foreigners under paragraphs 1 to 4 of Article 8 of the Law on Entry, Exit, Transit and Residence of Foreigners in Vietnam do not apply for an e-Visa through this process. They must go through inviting or sponsoring organizations and submit a written visa application to the competent unit of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This includes, among others, members of state and party delegations, diplomatic and consular missions and related groups.

    • Members of delegations of the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the President, the President of the National Assembly, the Prime Minister.
    • Members of delegations of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee, the Vice President, the Vice President of the National Assembly, the Deputy Prime Minister and other equivalent office and party levels (including ministers, provincial party secretaries, chairs of people’s councils and people’s committees).
    • Members of diplomatic missions, consular posts, UN and intergovernmental representations, as well as spouses, children aged 18 or over and accompanying domestic staff for a limited time.
    • People who work at such missions or visit their members.

    Declaration and processing of documents use the UTC+07:00 time zone.

Application steps

  1. Set travel dates: planned entry and exit, single or multiple entry
  2. Enter passport and contact details; upload portrait photo and passport bio page
  3. Select entry gate (air, land or sea) and review all details
  4. Pay the official government fee on the state portal and wait for approval
  5. Carry the approved e-Visa (print or digital) and enter only via the selected gate

Required documents

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your planned exit date
  • Digital portrait photo (passport-style, neutral background, recent likeness)
  • Scan or photo of passport bio page: readable, no glare, all relevant fields visible
  • Email address for approval delivery
  • Proof of accommodation or travel purpose if requested in the form
