What is the Vietnam e-Visa for?
The Vietnam e-Visa is an electronic visa you apply for online before entry. After approval you receive a PDF confirmation with QR code. Eligible travellers may enter via the border checkpoints selected in the application.
VietEvisa is not an official government portal. You can always apply yourself at https://evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn and pay the official fee (25 USD single / 50 USD multiple) there. We optionally help with review and submission for a separate service fee.

Process in three steps
- Complete the application online (passport data, travel dates, entry gate)
- Pay the official government fee on the state portal
- Receive the approved e-Visa online and carry it printed or digitally
Who needs an e-Visa?
- Travellers from eligible countries without visa-free access or a suitable exemption
- Tourists and business visitors entering Vietnam by air, land or sea
- Not the same as visa on arrival (VOA): VOA requires a separate approval letter and different steps
- Not the same as visa-free short stays: check your nationality and travel purpose in advance
